After an intense selection process, various alarm and dispatching solutions were examined in detail and formally evaluated. VERDI-FIRE came out as the overall best solution !!

In the selection process, a lot of attention was paid to specific technical and functional requirements. These not only had to be answered on paper, but were also formally assessed in a live demo.

VERDI will be responsible for the complete alarming and dispatching of the Zone. This means connectivity with the NC112 via Astrid, multi-channel availability/alerts for volunteers and professionals, integration with back-end systems… and even interaction with people and vehicles in the field/on intervention.

Fire Department “Zone 1” unites 17 municipalities, 9 fire stations and 2 outposts. From the 9 fire stations and the 2 outposts, firefighters and paramedics provide prevention, protection and emergency assistance. The 17 municipalities protected by Zone 1 are: Blankenberge, Beernem, Bredene, Brugge, Damme, De Haan, Gistel, Ichtegem, Jabbeke, Knokke-Heist, Middelkerke, Oostkamp, ​​Ostend, Oudenburg, Torhout, Zedelgem and Zuienkerke.
